Securing the Future of Indonesian Children With Positive Education Program

To improve the quality of education for children, UNICEF developed the Child Friendly Education Program implemented in several regions in Indonesia, one of which is Papua.

The plan, the education program includes two modules, namely positive and creative disciplines connection. Discipline module is an alternative way to educate children without the use of violence or physical punishment. As for creating the connection aimed for parents and teenagers, which aims to improve communication skills in solving everyday problems, and to build positive relationships between parents and children, as well as inter-adolescent relationships.

Nonetheless, the goal of the program is not only intended for children, but also intended for household mothers, because the figure of the mother is in the early stages of educating and raising a child.

Because it is positive and constructive, so the program is getting a lot of support from various parties, ranging from governments, local organizations, and private parties.
